This year the Scottish Government is providing Pupil Equity Funding to develop interventions to ensure excellence through raising attainment and achieving equity by addressing barriers which exist for some children who have poverty related factors which impact on their attainment.
As well as having a universal approach to school improvement which will have an impact on all children, we will, in addition, have a targeted approach and provide additional interventions for identified children who need this.
The focus area will be raising attainment in Reading. Clear planning of how the Pupil Equity Fund will be used to provide targeted interventions in literacy and family learning can be found in the School Improvement Plan.
